Proudly continuing the tradition of luxury cruising that began in 1840, Cunard Line is one of the world’s most recognised brand names with a classic British heritage.
From the fabled vessels of the past to the present royal court the vessels Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria are proudly flying the Cunard flag and will soon be joined by Queen Elizabeth later this year.
The newest liner, Queen Elizabeth, will be launched in October 2010. Currently under construction, the new 2092-passenger ocean liner will be the second largest Cunarder ever built.
Queen Elizabeth will offer the very best of Cunard’s values and traditions, blended with every conceivable modern luxury. Through her elegant public rooms and legendary Cunard White Star service, this new ship will reflect the grandeur which has been associated with Cunard ships since the introduction of the Mauretania in 1907.
And from the outside, her black hull, gleaming white superstructure and distinctive red funnel will echo the classic characteristics of the company’s distinctive liner heritage.
Queen Elizabeth’s Maiden Voyage, now sold out, will depart on Tuesday October 12 for a 13-night trip from the company’s home port in Southampton, UK, to ports including Vigo, Spain, Lisbon, Portugal, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands and Funchal, Portugal.
Her maiden season will run from October 2010 to January 2011 and include voyages to the western and central Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
Queen Elizabeth will depart Southampton on January 5, 2011, on her 103-night epic maiden world voyage, which has just opened for sale. This tour will feature 35 maiden calls, including Cunard’s first call ever at Port Denarau, Fiji. In total, Queen Elizabeth
will call at 38 ports in 23 countries as she makes her way west around the globe, with maiden transits of both the Panama and Suez Canals and calls at Los Angeles, Auckland, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Lisbon.
