Leading German hospitality management group, Deutsche Hospitality has entered into a management agreement for Steigenberger Residences Doha, Qatar.

Complementing the recently opened flagship Steigenberger Hotel Doha, the Residences will include 278 uniquely furnished apartments offering the warm comforts of a home and a space that allows guests to revel and relax in. The Steigenberger Residences Doha is planned to open in Q3 this year – just in time for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, starting November 21, 2022.

“The Steigenberger Residences are the perfect supplement to our existing luxury Steigenberger Hotel Doha,” comments Siegfried Nierhaus, Vice President Middle East.

“Both products will offer tourists and business travellers the highest quality comfort and service of the Steigenberger brand to perfectly suit the different travel occasion to guests from all over the world. The Residences will attract long staying guests and families alike.”

DNATA PARTNERSHIP
Dubai-based dnata Representation Services, part of the dnata Travel Group, has signed a partnership agreement with Deutsche Hospitality to serve as its exclusive representation partner across the GCC countries.

The announcement comes as the German hotel group expands its GCC footprint with its recent opening of the Steigenberger Hotel Doha in Qatar, the opening of the IntercityHotel Dubai Jaddaf Waterfront and the takeover of the management of the Al Hamra Residences and Al Hamra Village Hotel in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The pipeline includes a further IntercityHotel in Muscat and a Jaz in the City Hotel in Dubai.

ICONIC LUXURY
In October 2021, Deutsche Hospitality and the Porsche Design Group partnered to create a unique and innovative hotel concept in the Luxury Lifestyle Segment. Consumers are increasingly choosing experiences over things and Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels is the only brand that combines the distinctive Porsche Design lifestyle with the hospitality and service quality of a Steigenberger hotel.

Offering a minimum of 150 rooms, suites, and penthouses the hotels will include a restaurant and lounge concept, exclusive meet and greet areas, and world-class health and beauty facilities, which includes a gym and wellness area. Guests will also benefit from an individualized journey at every touchpoint, driven by the hotel’s focus on hyper personalisation, innovation, and functional approach.

“We have brought together two German brands focusing on excellence and the interest from the Middle East has been quite flattering,” Nierhaus says.

In the beginning of the year, the Tourism Development Fund (TDF) of Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Deutsche Hospitality to develop and operate Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels projects in Saudi Arabia. The agreement includes the right to exclusively launch the first Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels project in the Middle East.

“Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels will focus on 20 locations globally in the biggest cities and AAA locations. We will not have more than three in the Middle East,” Nierhaus tells us.
