Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas celebrates two wins in the 2020 Condé Nast Traveller Middle East Readers’ Choice Awards, in addition to four further Top Three placings, making it the most recognised brand in the prestigious annual awards.
The online poll for the leading travel awards in the GCC region invited readers to vote for their favourite travel experiences across multiple categories and has now revealed the results for the 2020 awards.
Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara was named the #1 Favourite Romantic Hotel in the Mena region. The fortress-like palace is nestled within the dunes of the Empty Quarter, the world’s largest uninterrupted sand desert, and welcomes guests to embrace the epic adventures of rich desert culture. A luxurious retreat that blends Arabian heritage with desert tranquility, guests can experience breathtaking sunsets and romantic dinners in the dunes, as well as a range of exceptional new experiences and upgrades when the resort re-opens in August.
Outside of the Mena region, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas was voted #1 Favourite Beach Hotel (International). This win bears testament to the pristine beach conditions of the resort’s private island location in the UNESCO Biosphere of the Baa Atoll, married with the multitude of facilities designed for the ideal beach vacation. Having launched newly refurbished two, three and four-bedroom beach pool residences at the start of this year, the resort is also home to SEA, the underwater restaurant, as well as the most powerful observatory in the Maldives, offering guests spectacular views of the night sky.
In addition to the two winners, Anantara properties claimed four further Top Three spots. Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort was voted #2 Favourite Beach Hotel in the Mena region, in addition to its well-loved Mekong Restaurant being named #2 Favourite Pan Asian Restaurant. Also in the Mena region, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara in Oman was voted #2 Favourite Spa Hotel.
The newly launched Anantara Tozeur Resort in Tunisia was named #3 Favourite New International Hotel, a great accolade having just welcomed the first guests in December. - TradeArabia News Service
