It is the destination where adventures, idyllic beaches, cultural diversity, culinary delights and much more blends together offering the perfect getaway. Sailings in the Caribbean are grouped under three main geographic areas: the Eastern Caribbean which is famous for its mountain peaks and rainforest thrills and is home to some of the best zip-lining courses in the world; the Western Caribbean where visitors can find the alluring ruins of ancient civilizations and hike through the Mayan ruins and limestone caves; and the Southern Caribbean where bright and exotic beaches are at appendance and offering rich submarine experiences with colourful coral reefs, shipwrecks and schools of fish.

With many options on offer, travellers with Royal Caribbean have the option of joining a five-night cruise onboard Adventure of the Seas for less than $400 per person (without taxes) and hop on a journey where past meets present. The sailing starts at Galveston, Texas which offers both action-packed adventure and a laidback beach vibe, before reaching to Costa Maya where ancient Maya ruins and mysterious jungles are waiting to be explored. Following that the ship heads to Cozumel, Mexico, with its lively tropical reefs, crystal-clear waters and ancient ruins before going back to Galveston.

For those who are after mega experiences in the Caribbean Harmony of the Seas should be their preferred choice. The ship with the world’s best feature has the tallest slide at sea, the Ultimate Abyss, as well as a full-sized basketball court, zipline and seven iconic onboard neighbourhoods to mention a few features. Kicking off the adventure from Port Canaveral, Orlando the ship sails for a whole day before reaching to Royal Caribbean’s private island the “Perfect Day at CocoCay”. This amusement island is home to a thrill water park with the tallest waterslide in North America, beach club, floating cabanas, and loads of beach activities. Fun continues abroad Harmony of the Seas before reaching to Cozumel, Mexico then to Roatan island where travellers are invited to enjoy the unique blend of cultures and traditions. Leaving Roatan the ship embarks on a journey to the past to visit the Mayan heritage at Costa Maya before heading back to Orlando.
