FROM the edge of Mexico to the dazzling waters of Desaru Coast in Malaysia, One&Only will be adding three new resorts to its ultra-luxe portfolio of beachfront, urban and nature retreats in 2020.
One&Only Desaru Coast, Malaysia: Nestled on the south-eastern shoreline of Malaysia, between lush rainforests and the South China Sea, One&Only Desaru Coast is a spectacular tropical retreat that embodies the essence of her location, known as the ‘village of palms’. Spread across 128 acres of unspoilt wild flora and flanked by a secluded coastline of pristine golden sands, the first One&Only resort in Asia will begin welcoming guests this March.
One&Only Spa by Chenot will be the first of its kind, extending beyond the spa and with an option to be woven into every element of a guests’ stay, bespoke programmes will include tailored nutritional menus, fitness schedules, targeted spa treatments and stress relieving activities designed according to individual needs.
One&Only Desaru Coast will further treat guests with fresh farm-to-table Mediterranean feasts offered through its Japanese and Malaysian restaurants – in addition to fun 'cooking sessions' for those aspiring chefs and food lovers. One of the resort's key highlights is its beautiful four-bedroom Villa One designed for families.
One&Only Mandarina, Mexico: Set to open later this summer, One&Only Mandarina is nestled in the heart of an intimate new destination set upon one of the last remaining beachfront jungles in Mexico.
Blending chic interiors amid the verdant jungle wilderness, the resort offers a combination of 104 free-standing villas that float above the treetops or perch against the cliffs, each with their own private plunge pool and mesmerising views of the Pacific Ocean, jungles and mountains. Embracing nature, all living spaces are designed with natural materials and colour palettes for an ultra-luxury experience.
One&Only Portonovi, Montenegro: Situated at the edge of the Adriatic Sea, on the western coast of the Balkans, One&Only Portonovi Montenegro sits in the heart of Boka Bay overlooking the towering mountains. With a mix of 113 guest rooms, suites and villas, this will be One&Only’s first ultra-luxury resort in Europe when it opens in June.
Showcasing Montenegro’s natural beauty, the resort has been designed with a contemporary take of Venetian architecture. The striking, classic design is defined by arched windows, red-tiled roofs and geometrical columns surrounded by breathtaking vistas of a majestic pool stretching into the Adriatic coastline.
Delivering the ultimate wellness experience, Espace Chenot will also offer guests a completely holistic approach to wellness, with life-changing detoxifying programs and ‘next-generation technology’ in skincare.
