Located in the five-star Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, the restaurant is inspired by White’s Italian heritage and love for New York: the restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes that reflects the latest trends from ‘the city that never sleeps’ as well as traditional Italian staples.
Elias Chakhtoura, general manager, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, says: “We are honoured to open the first international branch of Marco’s New York Italian at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr. This marks our second collaboration with Chef Marco following the success of the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill.”
Chef Marco’s dishes are always fresh, authentic and simple whether for lunch, brunch, dinner, friends, family or business gatherings. In that vein, the venue offers a casual and vibrant all-day dining experience with a menu that offers a mixture of Italian-inspired dishes and American classics, serving everything from fresh pasta, homemade pizza and ribs to Marco’s best-selling New York style cheesecake.
In short, Marco’s New York Italian isn’t just selling you a meal; it is selling an experience to share and socialise.
Marco’s New York by Marco Pierre White is open for à la carte lunch and dinner every day, on Fridays there’s a brunch and the bar is open from 6pm to 2am daily.
Marco’s New York Italian marks Studio EM’s first collaboration, and a joint venture with the newly formed Black and White International, an expert hotel management company, and RMAL Hospitality, a dedicated hotel and restaurant development business.
“More than 50 per cent of the income of the hotel is generated through food and beverage,” Chakhtoura, who has over 20 years of hospitality experience, tells TTN. “Fairmont Bab Al Bahr is a true dining destination in the city and this has been our aim since the beginning.”
With the addition of Marco’s New York Italian, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr now offers a variety of nine well differentiated restaurants and bars. Maison Beirut, offers exquisite Lebanese cuisine, while Chameleon Terrace and Poolside restaurant present refreshing al fresco dining options. Bridges Bar is the centre of all sports broadcasts and entertainment, CuiScene, international dining, Café Sushi, a modern Japanese restaurant. Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill has completely redesigned meat lovers’ dining experience in the emirate.
“Fairmont Bab Al Bahr stands out by its brand identity and our commitment to excellence,” says Chakhtoura, the driving force behind the success of the property. “It is important to reflect luxury, from our in-room amenities to the products we serve in our restaurants. Our attention to detail is key in understanding the needs of our guests, and this is what has helped us build our reputation over the years.”
It also helps, of course, that the property has a great location by the beach, with breathtaking views of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, in addition to nine outlets, a kids’ play area, an executive floor and a conference centre. There’s also an Olympic length lap pool and a covered pool for kids and extensive gym and wellness facilities.
“At Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, we strongly believe in turning moments into memories for our guests. This will always be our strength and added value over our competitors. There is no substitute for quality of service.
“We also make sure to keep the property luxurious. Projects such as the rebranding and renovation of Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill and Marco’s, bring innovation and variety to our offering.
“We are proud to partner with a celebrity chef such as Marco Pierre White, and be the first destination for the franchise in the Middle East,” says the general manager.
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr is located in the UAE capital near attractions such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Ferrari World Theme Park, Abu Dhabi Heritage Village, Al Maqta Fort and Louvre Abu Dhabi. The hotel is also conveniently located only 25 km away from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 180 km away from Dubai International Airport.
The property comes complete with the Fairmont Gold experience, with dedicated check-in desk, an executive lounge where nibbles and beverages are served almost all-day long.
“Our number one market remains the UAE with a mix of Leisure and business visitors, thanks to our hotel facilities, with multiple outlets, beach, pool as well as meeting rooms and a large ballroom. Secondly, Great Britain, Germany and France are some of the main European providers,” says Chakhtoura.
