Kempinski Hotels and Grupo de Turismo Gaviota SA have signed a management contract for the 245-key Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski, the first five-star luxury resort complex in Cuba.
After having successfully managed the country’s first five-star city hotel, Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana, for almost two years, the brand will enhance its presence on the Caribbean island and will further extend its footprint in the Americas. Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski is currently under construction and is scheduled to open during 2019.
The all-new resort hotel in the paradisiac location of Cayo Guillermo, approximately 500 kilometres east of Havana, will offer the brand’s discerning guests an experience of exclusivity and privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the tropical island’s capital city.
Cuba’s first non-all-inclusive resort hotel will become the luxury hideaway from the crowds. The hotel offers a uniquely refreshing and authentic experience, inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s legacy and love for the Cayo, reimagined for the contemporary traveller.
Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski will ensure an unprecedented experience of barefoot luxury, including spa and yoga, extensive pool landscapes and an unparalleled gastronomic delight. Specialty and buffet restaurants will provide the freshest sea food and will set the resort apart from all other offerings on the Cayo. A kids club, gym, tennis court, lobby bar and cigar bar round off the exclusive facilities in this luxurious hideaway.
