ABU DHABI Airports contributed to the Airports Council International’s (ACI) development of the world’s first Airports Customer Experience Accreditation programme. The new programme was launched during the ACI Asia-Pacific World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition which took place in Hong Kong, on April 3.

As part of the accreditation process, each airport is required to ensure the highest levels of training and service accreditation for their staff, enabling them to deliver best in class services.

During the event Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) was recognised as one of six airports who contributed to the development of the new programme, and the first and only airport in the Middle East and North Africa to be accredited.

The programme forms a part of ACI’s globally-established Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme, and is designed to help airports implement best practices, educate employees and ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence.

Bryan Thompson, chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “Providing our customers and passengers with a seamless experience and making sure they are happy with our services is among our foremost priorities at Abu Dhabi Airports. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to contribute to the ACI’s development of the new Airport Customer Experience Accreditation programme and proud to announce AUH’s status as the first and only airport in the region to be accredited.”
