Millennium Atria Business Bay opens

THE 347-key Millennium Atria Business Bay deluxe hotel apartment started welcoming guests last month, and will be completely ready in the next three months. The 347-room deluxe hotel apartment has dining outlets and key facilities including the infinity pool and gym located on the 25th Floor.

Millennium Atria Business Bay will offer studio, one-, two- and three-bedrooms, and duplex apartments that are designed by YOO Studio. The 30-storey property is the first hospitality venture of Deyaar Development. The opening will continue in phases as the first six floors opened on February 14 and the rest will open in the next three months. Each apartment is fully furnished and with views.

 

Voco brand to debut in Egypt

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group)  has signed a management agreement with Arab International Tourism Investment Company to debut the Voco brand in Egypt, with the development of Voco Giza Pyramids. This project is a part of a mixed-use development, which will include a high-end mall, the 17,000sqm hotel is scheduled to open in 2022.

Strategically located to cater for both business and leisure travellers, the 230-room Voco Giza Pyramids will be situated in the prime locale of Pyramids Gardens in Giza, beside the Grand Egyptian Museum and the main entrance of the Pyramids. A 15-minute drive from the newly opened Sphinx International Airport, the hotel is conveniently located 30-minutes from the city centre, with easy access to the ring road connection to the New Administrative Capital.

The hotel will offer an outdoor pool, a health club and spa, as well as 861 sqm of meeting space. There will also be multiple dining options available for guests to enjoy, from the pool bar to the hotel’s speciality restaurant.

 

Small Luxury Hotels opens in three locales

SMALL Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) starts off the New Year by introducing hotels in three new destinations – Manama, Brisbane and Arizona. Each hotel pays homage to its local surrounds, giving guests an insight into the local life.

The Merchant House, Manama, Bahrain offers 46 suites from £132 ($172.80) per night including breakfast. It is located next to Manama’s famous Bab Al-Bahrain (‘Gateway to Bahrain’). Guests are invited to avail the introductory offer of £132 ($169.20) for the first night and the second night complimentary.

Castle Hot Springs, Arizona, United States offers 33 rooms from £570 ($734.04) and Ovolo The Valley, Brisbane, Australia offers 103 rooms from £106 ($135.87) per night. 

 

Marriott Bonvoy: umbrella loyalty programme

MARRIOTT International has unveiled Marriott Bonvoy, the new loyalty brand replacing the current loyalty brands – Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) – and reflecting the unmatched benefits, single loyalty portfolio and experiences announced last year. Marriott Bonvoy is built on the belief that travel enriches us all and has the power to enrich the world. Marriott Bonvoy launched on February 13 when the logo and branding began rolling out across all consumer touchpoints, including on property, marketing and sales channels, digital, mobile and co-brand credit cards.

Beginning on February 13, Marriott Rewards Moments and SPG Moments has become Marriott Bonvoy Moments, which together with Marriott Moments will feature approximately 120,000 experiences in 1,000 destinations available for purchase or by redeeming points.
