Ahlan at your service

AHLAN, Dubai International Airport’s premier concierge service now provides a personalised meet and greet service at the airport’s terminals 1 and 3.

To ease the journey from the aerobridge to one’s final destination, Ahlan Meet & Greet has added a Premium Elite Service, which includes a one-way drop from airport to hotel/home. Priced at Dh555 ($151) per person, the service commences when guests depart the flight, and are welcomed by a personal concierge and porter. Guests are then chaperoned to the Ahlan Arrival Lounge for refreshments, while the bellboy collects their luggage. For swift immigration formalities, guests are escorted to the dedicated passport control counter, and finally to the carousel area to reconfirm luggage. Finally, guests are guided through to exit where the transportation has been arranged. The Ahlan representative leaves the guests with a voucher which includes access to the Ahlan Departure Lounge for their departure.

 

Oman Air partners with TPConnects

ACCELERATING its strategy to ensure quick adoption of its New Distribution Channels (NDC) enabled distribution, Oman Air has partnered with TPConnects in integrating Oman Air NDC API to its Travel Aggregator Platform.

This partnership will enable IATA and non-IATA travel agents to access the travel agents' own contracted global distribution system (GDS) along with Oman Air NDC Direct Connect to shop, book and manage travel content from all airlines, hotel suppliers and car rental brands from one single screen. With zero initial investment, and on a per passenger transaction fee based model, travel agents will get their own website with booking engine, B2B platform for sub agents and own staff usage, mobile application and corporate booking tool.

All enhancements and upgrades of the complete solution will be taken care by TPConnects. Travel agents who would like to adopt a complete digital environment to meet today’s customer demand should register their interest.

 

SalamAir adding a new route

SALAMAIR will launch a new route connecting the capital Muscat to Egypt’s second largest city, Alexandria starting March 2, 2019 three times a week and daily from May 2019. The new service is the airline’s second destination in Africa after Khartoum, Sudan and the first direct flight offering between Muscat International Airport and Borg El Arab International Airport. Flights will depart from Muscat at 20:35 and arrive in Alexandria at 23:45, while depart Alexandria at 00:30 arriving in Muscat at 06:55.

Flydubai expanding its network

DUBAI-based flydubai announced the start of flights to Tashkent (TAS) the capital of Uzbekistan. The five times weekly service between Dubai and Tashkent will start from March 11, 2019 and will become a daily operation from May 31, 2019.

Business Class return fares from Dubai to Tashkent start at Dh7,500 ($2041.84) and are inclusive of all taxes and 40kg checked baggage, meals and inflight entertainment. Economy Class return fares from Dubai to Tashkent start at Dh1,545 ($420.62) including 20kg checked baggage and a hot meal.

The carrier will operate the new route with one of its brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB) offering passengers comfort and an enhanced travel experience. The new cabin features a flat-bed in Business Class and in addition to the extra space and privacy, passengers can sleep comfortably during their flight. Economy Class offers new Recaro seats, which are designed to optimise space and comfort.
