In the past two years, Centara has introduced its unique brand of Thai-style hospitality to new destinations in Thailand and the Middle East. More expansion is on the cards as the company intends to double its properties in the next five years.
In May 2017 Centara Muscat Hotel Oman opened in the ideally located Al Ghala business district, halfway between the airport and old town, close to the Royal Opera House and exhibition centre. The first COSI lifestyle hotel opened next to the most popular beach on Thailand’s Samui island in December 2017.
In December 2018, Centara opened its second hotel in the Middle East, Centara West Bay Residences & Suites in Doha, Qatar. Its luxurious rooms overlook the azure Gulf from downtown Doha’s fashionable West Bay district, adjacent to the beautiful, palm-lined corniche.
Soon to open will be Centara Sonrisa Residences & Suites in Sriracha, a popular community between Bangkok and Pattaya; and Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi, on a picturesque beach set between cliffs and offshore islands on Thailand’s southwest coast. The company’s second COSI hotel will also open soon on Pattaya’s Naklua Beach.
Centara recently signed a management agreement for three new properties in Laos – two in the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, plus a new COSI Hotel ideal for adventurous lifestyle travellers exploring the Laotian capital of Vientiane.
More destinations are planned, with new hotels and resorts expected in the Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, the Maldives, Qatar, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
