Rotana ventures into Lusaka, Zambia

The capital of the African nation of Zambia, Lusaka, will soon be experiencing the Rotana brand of hospitality. Further strengthening its presence in the African market, Rotana has signed a hotel management agreement with Grandview Hotels and Resorts Limited to manage a new five-star hotel scheduled to open by 2021.

The upcoming hotel will add to Rotana’s portfolio in Africa: Al Salam Rotana, Khartoum, Sudan, Kin Plaza Arjaan by Rotana, Kinshasa, DR Congo and Grand Rotana Resort & Spa, Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

Located in the newly expanded Central Business District of Lusaka, the hotel will be a short distance from major landmarks in the city, including the East Park mall and several multinational corporate offices, embassies and ministries, making it a good choice for both business and leisure travellers.

The exquisitely designed five-star hotel will feature 150 rooms and 50 hotel apartments that will provide guests with all the comforts and the luxury for a pleasant and memorable stay.

The property is planning for exclusive hospitality offerings, including three signature dining restaurants, executive lounge, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, and generous indoor and outdoor space thoughtfully designed for formal and informal gatherings. Other amenities will include pool and terraces, as well as a fully equipped fitness and wellness club.

When opened, the new hotel will bring the brand’s total inventory in Africa to 1,060 rooms. Rotana is planning new hotel openings in Angola, Mauritania, Nigeria and Tanzania, all of which will be launched by 2022. ”
