Occidental IMPZ Dubai opens
OCCIDENTAL IMPZ Dubai Conference & Events Centre, the first Occidental hotel in the Middle East managed by Spanish leading hospitality company Barceló Hotel Group has opened in International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) offering a total of 239 rooms across two towers.
The brand-new property has a variety of restaurants and bars as well as extensive Mice facilities. The hotel will serve as a meeting and conference hub for the upcoming EXPO 2020. The specially curated conference and events centre boasts four meeting rooms and an expansive ballroom. There is also a multifunctional space on the ground floor, which can be readily used to create bespoke hospitality corners and events. Furthermore, the hotel also accommodates a dedicated library and workspace for business minds and entrepreneurs, both travellers and residents alike.
Occidental IMPZ Dubai will be home to an expansive rooftop pool bar with 360-degree city views and a vibrant tapas and sports bar located on the ground floor.
Barceló Hotel Group now operates three hotels in the region and is set to open Dubai property Barceló Al Jadaf in June 2019.
Mandarin Oriental comes to Lake Como
MANDARIN Oriental Hotel Group has taken over management of CastaDiva Resort & Spa, a resort on Lake Como, Italy. The property will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como in spring 2019 following a refurbishment of its facilities. This will be Mandarin Oriental’s first resort in western Europe and will complement the Group’s Milan hotel.
Located on the shores of Lake Como, and surrounded by lush botanic parkland, the resort is a landmark of historic importance, comprising 76 spacious rooms and suites housed in nine villas, dating from the 19th Century. Two of the villas will be bookable in their entirety giving guests their own private retreat. Almost all accommodation has lake views that can be enjoyed from either a balcony or terrace. The resort features four restaurants and bars, including a lakeside terrace for al fresco dining, a large spa with an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor floating pool on the lake. There is also a variety of social and meeting facilities in the resort’s grounds.
Crowne Plaza Muscat reopens
GULF HOTEL (Oman) Company Limited has announced the reopening of Crowne Plaza Muscat.
The fast-tracked renovation was part of the hotel’s commitment to enhance guest experiences and much of the hotel facilities.
