How to get to Dresden

Share

Dresden is easily accessible by air from Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, but is also convenient by train just over two hours from Prague or take your own car for a scenic drive from Hamburg or Munich under five hours. Train travel, and in particular, long distance train travel has grown at record highs to 142 million passengers as presented by Dr Tobias Heubler, international sales, Deuteche Bahn (DB). International overseas marketing are the main drivers of growth. They will be expanding their network with two additional ICE Sprinter trains from Berlin to Munich from December. The ICE 4 will provide many additional long-distance connections as well as a new level of comfort including new family areas. Faster connections from Berlin to Prague (via Dresden are also expected this year).
