Air Arabia ... new connections

TTN has reported in the past about Azerbaijan focusing on drawing inbound tourists from the Middle East with special focus on the GCC countries. That plan will get more traction with Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s largest low-cost carrier, launching a new route in Azerbaijan, flying to the popular touristic city of Gabala (also spelled Qabala) from June 27 this year. The airline has existing daily connections to the capital city of Baku.

Gabala comes with its fame of year-round fair weather and natural spectacles. Featuring a moderate climate and a mountainous landscape, Gabala is a destination of choice for travellers looking to spend their summer closer to nature, immersed in the city’s scenic surroundings and rich cultural heritage.

The flight will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) at 13:00 hours, and arriving at Gabala International Airport (GBB) at 016:10 hours local time. The return flight will depart Gabala at 17:15 hours, landing in Sharjah at 19:50 hours local time.
