Chase Northern Lights at Hotel Husafell

PUTTING an end to the fear of missing out on sighting Northern Lights, Hotel Husafell launches Iceland's first automated Northern Lights Wake-Up-Call System. The system helps increase the chances of seeing the Northern Lights and is the first of its kind call system in Iceland. Nestled in a secluded valley below Langjokull Glacier in West Iceland, Hotel Húsafell is one of the best spots in the world to view the Northern Lights, with an average of three sightings per week in winter. The newly installed Auto-Aurora system lets hotel staff alert guests with the touch of a button if the lights appear during the night.

In addition, Hotel Húsafell caters to Northern Lights travellers by training staff to provide app suggestions and helpful tips for photographing the elusive Auroras. The hotel's in-house restaurant is designed for optimal Aurora Borealis viewing with floor-to-ceiling windows so guests can gaze upon the lights while dining. The on-site geothermal baths open in the evening provide a steamy location to watch the Auroras dance across the night sky.
