The month-long shopping festival in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku, live between October 15 and November 15, is aiming to become a big draw for Middle Eastern tourists. The Azerbaijan Convention Bureau under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the promoters of the Baku Shopping Festival 2017 revealed plans to make the shopping festival a memorable experience for tourists, hosting fashion shows, unique product launches, live entertainment, street parties, concerts, and raffle draws. Bargain hunters can look forward to great deals, discounts, offers, and prizes throughout the city’s shopping hubs.
Rashid Al Noori, the chairman of the representative Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan in GCC, said, “The second edition of the Baku Shopping Festival is one of the most important campaigns in Azerbaijan’s annual events calendar that will significantly enhance Azerbaijan’s standing as a popular year-round tourism destination offering unique shopping experiences. Working with our partners and collaborators, the Representative Office team has brought in place discounted offers to facilitate whole families and individuals traveling to Azerbaijan for this extravaganza, with plenty of entertaining events for everyone to enjoy.”
Among the highlights of the shopping festival is a VAT refund programme for foreigners and local citizens, applicable for purchases at the official Festival merchant stores. Major hypermarkets and shopping plazas and malls, leading hotels and restaurants are part of the festival experience.
