Long hailed as the legendary iconic luxury retreat in Mauritius, One&Only Le Saint Géran will retain what guests have always loved – a sense of exclusive seclusion on its own private peninsula with a beachfront and calm lagoon unlike any other resort on the island. The resort’s colonial-style architecture will be lovingly preserved and will incorporate stylish design references to traditional Mauritian lifestyle and architecture such as local plantation manor houses, sugar cane kilns and soft palm-thatched roofs.
One&Only Le Saint Géran will offer 142 rooms and suites and one villa. The resort will also offer expanded and more immersive culinary experiences; an indulgent spa and cutting-edge fitness centre; active excursions; and most importantly, unrivalled service.
One&Only Le Saint Géran has always been known for its gourmet dining options, and all of the restaurants will be redesigned, introducing additional outdoor dining and new dining concepts including a pan Asian experience complete with sushi bar. At the North end of the resort, guests will be able to enjoy a new pool, complete with a new bar and restaurant with an open kitchen.
The existing pool will also be renovated, providing guests with the choice of three pools in all, including the secluded spa pool and new peninsula pool to complement the one kilometre of palm strewn private beach.
In addition, a new lounge will be introduced, creating a space for relaxation, with a bar and entertainment components. The new recreation centre will become an exciting hub gathering all activities for families: KidsOnly, One Tribe for Teens, state-of-the art indoor and outdoor Fitness Centre, Spinning room, tennis courts, Padel courts (a first for Mauritius), football playground, minigolf and more.
One&Only Spa and the Watersports Centre will also be renovated, providing the ultimate experience for guests of all ages. Perfect for executive summits or bespoke events, three new meeting rooms will also be added along with new retail experiences to be revealed.
All One&Only Le Saint Géran new guest rooms will feature a private balcony or terrace, marble-lined bathrooms with rain showers, and an indulgent separate bath opening up to a cleverly designed dressing space. More than 50 rooms across the resort will be available as an interconnecting option, making it an ideal retreat for families. One-bedroom suites with breath-taking views over the Indian Ocean, the white sand beach or the spectacular lagoon will range in size from 110 to 150 square metres each with a master bedroom, spacious lounge and dining room. Suites located on the ground floor will extend to a generous sun-filled private wooden deck with large sofa, daybed, terrace, chairs and table. All suites will feature personal butler service.
The introduction of luxurious one, two and three-bedroom suites has been a recent request from loyal guests, especially those who travel with large families. The 190 square metre two-bedroom ocean and beach-front suites will include two sophisticated bedrooms, three marble-lined bathrooms and two private terraces. Guests can also luxuriate in one of the four luxury three-bedroom suites which will sprawl over 250 square metres, each with a master bedroom, a living room and a prime location directly onto the soft white beach.
Finally, One&Only Le Saint Géran will be unveiling private residences for guests who want to make the resort home. Secluded villas with their own pool will be introduced with a full suite of amenities and resort services for Residents to enjoy the Mauritian life, One&Only style.
