MELIÁ HOTELS International has made two key appointments to their regional office.
Nihad Kattan, regional director of operations Middle East and Africa, was appointed to oversee operations across the brand’s diverse set of Middle East hotels, including Meliá Dubai, Meliá Doha and the upcoming ME Dubai and INNSIDE Doha properties in the GCC. Originally from Jordan, he has more than 30 years of international hotel management experience for five-star deluxe, multi-location and multi-unit hotels
and resorts.
Area director of sales and marketing, Middle East & Africa, Ahmad Shaban-Fernandez, who joined Meliá Hotels International in October 2016, will lead the sales and marketing division in the region. He hails from Jordan too and has 10 years of progressive, senior level
sales experience.
Meliá Dubai is the first five-star Spanish hotel in the Middle East. It boasts a classic, contemporary European design with warm colours creating a soothing atmosphere and space that gives the feeling of a home away from home.
The hotel’s lobby features the Light Series collection by Helidon Xhixha, a series of artworks that enclose the allegory of the evolutionary human pathway.
