Junior Suite Beach at Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai

SKAI Holding’s Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai is all set for an opening on March 31 this year. One of many pending hotel projects on the Palm, this magnum opus is set against a backdrop of breath taking views of the sea, sand and Dubai skyline. Comprising 477 hotel rooms and 221 residences, and one of the first buildings when you enter Palm Jumeirah, Viceroy stands out in the best sense of the term.

The resort, which aims to exclude an ‘LA vibe’, features a glass cube entrance made of winding wooden sculptures inspired by Apple’s Cube store in Manhattan. Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai is touted to be “a dare-to-be-different hotel that captures the heat, energy and vibe of the city”.

The property is true to Viceroy Hotel Group’s trademark cutting-edge modern sensibility, provocative sense of style and cool confidence to redefine Dubai’s hospitality scene and present a trendsetting hub of social activity.

A hedonist’s delight, The Spa at Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai provides a seamless and tranquil wellness journey to all that enter. Incorporating the Viceroy Wellness Programme, it offers total flexibility with a variety of cutting-edge health and wellbeing elements, along with the freedom to relax and indulge in the luxurious spa.

Suspended on the 14th floor, the 600 sq m Vista Ballroom is one of Dubai’s most spectacular event spaces. Boasting wraparound views across the Arabian Gulf and Dubai Marina, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, it accommodates up to 350 guests and provides the wow factor for any occasion. With plenty of natural light and panoramic views towards the Burj Al Arab and Arabian Gulf, three high-tech meeting rooms, Elevate 1, 2 and 3, are perfect for getting creativity flowing during a brainstorming session or workshop.

Led by renowned executive chef, Robert Nilsson, the hotel offers a vibrant mix of cuisines in playful spaces that spark excitement all day long and late into the night.

The fact that the ballroom has its own kitchen only goes to add to its charm and capability to serve great grub.

Representing all corners of the culinary world, BLVD on One offers constantly evolving and innovative dishes from breakfast and brunch through to lunch and dinner. Blending techniques from across the globe, diners can expect bold flavours and a kaleidoscope of colours in a relaxed and stylish setting.

Acclaimed chef Antonio Mellino’s first restaurant in the Middle East, Quattro Passi is an exquisite dining experience that infuses Italian passion and fair. Celebrating the birthplace of the original Quattro Passi, the cuisine delivers the fresh flavours of Campania, Southern Italy with an inventive yet simple menu centred around farm-to-table ingredients, flown in daily from tiny artisan producers on the Amalfi Coast.

The Delisserie, Elevate, The Pool Bar and The Lobby Lounge are some other outlets available at the hotel. Three outdoor swimming pools, including a kids’ pool, kids club with childcare facilities, full-service concierge and complimentary wi-fi round off the amenities.

Meanwhile, The Viceroy Dubai in Jumeirah Village Circle, which was hit by a fire last year, is said to be scheduled for a 2018 opening. Work on the 60-storey tower, which will house 247 hotel rooms and 254 apartments, was pushed back due to a fire that broke out in August 2016, as reported in The National.
