After an intensive upgrade/renovation, Atholplace Hotel & Villa, the only Relais & Chateaux member in Johannesburg has opened its doors.
Luxury hotel group Morukuru has maintained the contemporary-classic glamour of AtholPlace, with all the facets throughout the hotel having been optimised and revived. Special attention has been given to the lounge, restaurant and bar area, giving the hotel a more relaxed but sophisticated ambiance.
Hotel Manager, Heidi Rabbets, tells TTN, “As we are a small boutique hotel with a private villa, we have the freedom of entertaining our guests like they prefer. Of course, there is more privacy at the villa than at the hotel, but that also depends on our guests’ wishes. Children simply enjoy the space surrounding the hotel, which feels like a great country home with its own lawns and pool.”
Family style meals can be created – either braai or big sharing platters. Children can enjoy making pizzas in the kitchen with the chef or watch kiddie movies in the evening.
“We also arrange for treasure hunts and teddy bear picnics at AtholPlace Hotel & Villa,” concludes Rabbets.
