SARAYA Bandar Jissah has hosted the ground-breaking ceremony for the second major construction stage of Oman’s newest integrated tourism complex (ITC), located in the heart of the touristic area to the southeast of Muscat.
Building on renewed confidence in the Oman real estate market and tourism growth, Saraya Bandar Jissah is the first ITC to launch since 2007. Promoted as Oman’s newest luxury address this $600 million project is taking shape on site.
“We are honoured to welcome H.H Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said to our project site,” said Sheikh Hamood bin Sultan Al Hosani, CEO of Saraya Bandar Jissah. “This second stage of construction reflects Saraya Bandar Jissah’s commitment to the development of a world-class touristic destination in the beautiful natural surroundings of Oman. Over the past years, we have been engaged in the preparatory works on site to ensure the future smooth flow of construction and timely delivery of an operational resort destination for residents to enjoy from day one.”
Saraya Bandar Jissah has adopted the vision of the integrated tourism complex by ensuring that the master plan provides world class touristic elements whilst balancing the harmony of the residential community to create the destination of choice for the domestic and international markets.
At the heart of the touristic hospitality are the two five-star hotels situated on the beachfront affording unique and spectacular views around the secluded cove towards the Hajar mountains. The residential units, designed to maximise the outstanding natural beauty, offer spectacular locations within the meandering valleys affording panoramic views through the development towards the tranquil beachfront setting.
Extensively landscaped throughout the development provides lush green areas, paths and walkways that lead to hidden oasis of peace and tranquillity. For those wishing to enjoy a more active time, the hub of the community orientated project will be the recreational area where one can enjoy relaxing by the pool, dining experiences, retail area, gym and gardens.
The five-star hotels will be operated by internationally renowned luxury hotels and resorts operator Jumeirah Group, which will bring its expertise in developing leading destinations catering to both domestic and international tourists.
“The unique location of these stunning hotels encapsulates the beauty and history of Oman and will offer an unparalleled vacation experience within the region,” said Gerald Lawless, Jumeirah Group president and CEO. “For the people of Oman, the resort will provide the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life providing an idyllic retreat right on their doorstep.”
The first phase will complete in 2017 delivering both Jumeirah Hotels, the recreational facilities and residential neighbourhoods.
Saraya Bandar Jissah is located on the outskirts of Muscat on a unique secluded beach surrounded by the Hajjar Mountains. The destination will be built on 2.2 million square metres of land with an expansive beachfront and a high point of 250 metres. Saraya Bandar Jissah, an integrated tourism complex supported by the Government of Oman and one of the global luxurious destinations offered by Saraya, will be home to exclusive residential units, two 5-star beachfront hotels and a recreational area.
Saraya Bandar Jissah is being developed in partnership between the Government of Oman’s tourism development and investment arm, Omran and Saraya Oman.
