THE National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCT&H) is rolling out special offers at properties managed by Danat Hotels & Resorts, its upscale hotel division which boasts a portfolio of four- and five-star hotels in the UAE.
The offers from NCT&H include discounts of up to 25 per cent on advance purchase at select Danat hotels.
Meanwhile its newly refurbished five-star Al Raha Beach Hotel is further expanding its facilities and services to cater to an increase in the number of leisure guests at the resort.
AL RAHA GROWS BUSINESS
Al Raha Beach Hotel, operated by Danat Hotels & Resorts, is just a ten-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The hotel says that its growing leisure client base now accounts for 35 per cent of its business.
Following the completion of a multi-million dollar extension, including a new wing with 144 deluxe rooms and suites, the hotel has added beach activities, opened a new restaurant and expanded its Body & Soul Spa with more refinements on the drawing board.
Wanasah or the fun place, is a 50-seater restaurant and café that takes the popular Ramadan-tent concept permanently inside. With a main area and three separate dining rooms, Wanasah is popular with local residents and overseas guests alike.
Open Saturday to Wednesday from 3 pm until midnight and Thursday and Friday from 4 pm until 2 am, Wanasah offers extensive menus of Arabic food and beverages including local specialities.
Christof Martin Egli heads up the food and beverage operations of the hotel. “Given Christof’s affinity with the region, Wanasah is really pulling in local and GCC clients and is something of a culinary tourism experience for our guests from further afield, who also enjoy the introduction of the Arabian night every Monday in our Black Pearl outlet where an oud player performs, ” says Diana Ancuta, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing.
Outside, on its 900-m private beach, kayak and pedallo hire have been added to the resort offerings.
The spa now has four treatment rooms – a couples room having been added – and a whole new treatment menu exclusively using the UK products of Eve Taylor, the founder of the Institute of Clinical Aromatherapy. One new treatment featured is a special massage for pregnant women.
Spa guests also get to use the indoor swimming pool and its surrounding, quiet relaxation area that has been totally refurnished.
“We are planning to completely renovate the aqua-medic facility, which has been closed for some time and which, on refurbishment, will include a traditional hammam,” adds Ancuta.
DISCOUNTS AT JEBEL DHANNA
The Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort meanwhile, is offering a special advance purchase deal for travellers. Guests who book their stay at the hotel 14 days in advance can save up to 25 per cent on room rates.
Payments would be required in full at the time of making the booking and the reservation would be non-refundable. Modifications to the reservation are also not permitted.
