Al Ali to oversee RAKTDA
Mohamed A. Ruqait Al-Ali, general manager of HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, will temporarily oversee the operations of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, as COO Victor Louis announced his resignation. A new COO will be announced within the next quarter of 2013.

Etihad Airways has appointed James Harrison as its new general manager for Canada. Harrison most-recently served as Etihad Airways’ Global Account Manager for American Express, based in London. He has previously worked for Hertz, British Airways and Gulf Air.

Stephane Puverel was appointed as executive chef of Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo. Chef Puverel has over 20 years’ experience at a vast range of international destinations, from South Africa to Monaco and China. Prior to joining Ascott in 2009 as its managing director for China, he was vice president in the Office of the president at CapitaLand.
