Beachfront dining comes to Sir Bani Yas Island

ANANTARA continues to enhance its guest experience with the opening of Amwaj restaurant - a new concept in beachfront dining. Perfectly situated adjacent to Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, the opening of this stunning waterfront restaurant follows hot-on-the-heels of the launch of the Conference Centre on Sir Bani Yas Island and soon to open Watersports Centre adding more choice for the growing number of visitors to the island.

Located on the picturesque Sir Bani Yas Island, Amwaj promises guests a dining experience inspired by the natural elegance of its beachside surroundings. Featuring mesmerising views of the Arabian Gulf, Amwaj is the epitome of island chic and is characterised by its light and airy feel and relaxed, chilled-out ambience. The décor of Amwaj perfectly sets the mood for a relaxing seaside feast with its wooden floors and table tops, beachside rustic design features, oversised lounges and a special featured ‘art piece’ ceiling fan, all combine to create a homely and informal feel.

Steven Phillips, general manager Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara commented: “2013 is looking to be an exciting year for expansion on Sir Bani Yas Island with the recent opening of the Desert Islands Conference Centre, the much anticipated opening of the Watersports Centre in the coming weeks and now Amwaj our stand alone casual dining restaurant. Anantara is committed to developing concepts that enrich and enhance the guest experience and the opening of this new dining experience is a great example of this philosophy at work.”

Amwaj is the first dining experience of its kind on the island, taking the total number of dining outlets at the resort to four.  The new concept restaurant offers an escape for all visitors to the island and offers a variety of dining experiences from romantic candle-lit dinners for two, to long lazy lunches overlooking the sea, or simply a break from one of the many activities on offer on the adventure island.
