THE Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah, has long been known as the ideal escape among UAE residents. Now the resort has announced its annual summer package, which allows guests to ‘chill out’ in a relaxing atmosphere, while indulging in numerous activities designed for the whole family to enjoy.

The Chill Out package is Dh349 ($95) per person per night for a double room and allows two children under 12 free per room. The rates are inclusive of gourmet breakfast, lunch or dinner. Patrick Antaki, general manager, said: 'For the last five years we’ve been offering the ‘Chill Out’ package and the response continues to get better and better. As a result, we couldn’t resist offering it again, only this time with more offerings and better value for money. Whether it’s the use of our recently launched Teens Club, the Penguin Club for younger children, our unparalleled portfolio of entertainment activities or just chilling out by the pool, there’s something for everyone.'

The popular Penguin Club caters to children between four and 12 offering mini golf, pizza making competitions, indoor and outdoor play areas, a gaming arcade and separate daily activities to keep the little ones busy all summer long. For the teens, the resort launched the exclusive Teens Club last year, where teenagers can enjoy weekly shows, themed activities and a recreational centre. The club is complete with internet (teen-friendly), video games, Wii and a DVD library in the cinema room and is open from 10am to 10pm.

The resort’s other activities include a wide variety of water sports ranging from snorkelling and diving to deep-sea fishing trips and access to The Spa Al Aqah which offers a wide variety of Thai, Balinese and Ayurvedic treatments.
