THE Liwa Executive Suites, managed by Coral Hotels & Resorts, welcomed its first guests as the property soft-opened on February 19, marking the launch of the group’s first hotel in the UAE capital.

Located next to the City Terminal in downtown Abu Dhabi, the hotel is conveniently placed for visitors on business, close to commercial and government offices, with easy access to shopping malls, souks and the Corniche.

The property features 18 Coral Cub suites and 36 deluxe suites and standard amenities in each unit include separate living and sleeping areas, desk with dual-line extension telephone, IDD and PC connections, luxury toiletries, safe, hair-dryer, mini-bar, complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities and 24-hour laundry and pressing service.

Additional facilities include an on-site fitness centre, male and female saunas and rooftop pool plus a dedicated business centre and three meeting rooms which can cater for seminars or meetings for up to 50 people.

While every suite is equipped with kitchen facilities, the Liwa Executive Suites also offers convenient dining options including an all-day restaurant, Moods, as well as Rumours Café and a 24-hour room service menu.

Hamed…ideal location

According to hotel manager Amr Hamed, expectations are that the hotel will fill a need for competitively priced boutique accommodation in the UAE capital as it builds the infrastructure to become a world-class business, meeting, event and leisure destination.

“Our key advantage is the superb location in the heart of the city, appealing to both business visitors and leisure guests who wish to discover the cultural, shopping and sightseeing appeal of Abu Dhabi,” he said.

“With the government’s commitment to a two-million-visitor target this year and renewed efforts to tap in to emerging markets such as India and China, as well as our biggest single source market, Saudi Arabia, the future for the hotel sector in the capital is looking bright.”
